The Apiary

French beekeeper in Lauragais

Our hives are located in Lauragais, housed in acacia woods, maples, hazels and pubescent oaks, brambles, hawthorns.

We harvest honey in our hives according to the flowering, without touching the reserves of our precious bees.

The royal jelly is produced according to the Quality Charter of the GPGR (Association of Producers of French Royal Jelly), to which we are members. Royal jelly is produced between April and August at a rate of 2 to 3 weekly picking, taken manually from royal cells containing about 0.5 to 1 g of royal jelly.

Pollen is collected at the entrance of hives, in traps, when bees laden with pollen, drop some balls when they pass on a grid intended for collection.

Propolis is harvested by bees on tree buds to line the entrance and interior of the hive as antiseptic substances to protect the colony. In order to collect a part of this propolis, we place the grids inside the hive, which the bees will hasten to cover with this natural substance.
